A loving home for orphaned
children

Orphaned by Aids.
Malawhere?
Malawi is a tiny sliver of a nation located in south eastern Africa squeezed between Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania. It is blessed with luscious vegetation, a warm climate, and home to one of the largest lakes in the world – Lake Malawi. However, it is in the bottom ten of the poorest and least developed countries, relying heavily on foreign aid. Malawi is also rife with Aids, with an estimated 1 in 7 living with the virus. This unfortunately results in many children losing their parents, with only their extended families to depend on who themselves suffer through extreme poverty. Although most of the children at Fatima Centre have been orphaned by Aids, many others are affected by birth complications to the mother and severe malnutrition.
